Hello beautiful people!
My name is Rita, and I am a second‑year microbiology student by day and a seasoned chef by night. As summer approaches, I decided to do something both fun and meaningful with my time. Starting this blog — alongside re‑learning a language (German!) — are my plans for the coming months.
I started Culture & Curiosity out of a desire (and a bit of nervousness!) to communicate with a wider audience — yes, you too, dear reader. I want to share the excitement, joy, and, of course, the occasional stress of studying microbiology later in life with anyone curious about this fascinating field of life sciences. It really is quite amazing.
On these pages, I plan to explore the foundations of microbiology — from bacteria to viruses and everything in between. I’ll also offer a glimpse into the “secret life” behind the lab coat, along with reflections, learning moments, and much more.
I’d love for you to join me on this journey. Comment, follow, and share if you enjoy the content.
Have a wonderful day!
